Ready to Get Out There?

Start with the Cuilcagh boardwalk or explore other trails in the area. We'll help you find the right fit for your pace and interests.

Get in Touch

How long does the Cuilcagh boardwalk take?

Most people take 1.5 to 2.5 hours for the full route. We always go at a comfortable pace with rest stops as needed. You're not racing anyone.

Is the boardwalk suitable for walking aids?

Yes, it's flat and wide enough for walking sticks or a walker. The handrails are helpful too. Just let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

What's the best time of year to visit?

Spring through autumn are all good. Summer is busiest but the weather is most predictable. Winter can be wet, but it's quieter and the light is beautiful.

Do I need special hiking boots?

Comfortable walking shoes with decent grip are enough. The boardwalk is smooth and well-maintained. Avoid loose sandals, but trainers work fine.

What if I get tired halfway?

We turn around whenever you want. Some people do the full loop, some do half. It's entirely up to you and how you're feeling that day.

How do I book a guided walk?

Get in touch through the contact page with your preferred dates and we'll find something that works. Small groups are best — usually 4 to 8 people.
